| January 9, 2009 Litter Updates BVR-FSTR Gimble smoothly gave birth to 13 pups night before last. She's being an excellent mother. All of the pups are doing fantastic. There appears to be several coat types, as was expected, and not one but five Siamese. We're looking forward to the next few days when we can determine the colors of all the dark-eyed bubs and begin getting to know this wonderful litter. Rainbow Bridge DAZL Blue Spruce passed away on January 5 due to a combination of old age and recurring respiratory problems. He was a beautiful and clingy boy that will be missed. Bruce was nearly 2 years and 2 months old. December 31, 2008 Computer Glitch We have recently switched to a new computer and while transfering files we have lost a few critical folders, one of which is our waiting list and applications. If you have sent in an application to be placed on our waiting list BEFORE *December 2008* we will need you to send one in again. We appologize for such an inconvenience. We will be placing notices throughout the website. We cannot honor places on the waiting list unless these applications are on file. Applications received in December are still in our inbox and have not been lost. December 27, 2008 - Litter Updates Pups from the DAZL Elven Magic x DAZL Illumination litter have begun to go to their new homes. We have a few interested parties for the last available females so we will not be accepting any further applications on them. We have another litter due within two weeks so if you might be interested in that litter (details on the litters page) please review the Policies page and send in an Application. We are expecting pups from BVR-FSTR Gimble in T-minus 12 days! Rainbow Bridge Jonesy, a rescue we took on in 2007 has passed on at 20mos old. He has had a rough time since losing his pals MooGoo and Wonton in recent months. Although he did not reach 2yrs old he did age quite quickly since the summer. December 20, 2008 - Litter Updates We have a new litter on the way! On December 16th we paired together EKO Battleship (Russian Blue Rex) and BVR-FSTR Gimble (Black Satin-Rex) for a litter that we hope will bring us some lovely Black and Russian Blues with the chance of Siamese. Mating was observed right away and we have documented good weight gain for Gimble. The pups should arrive January 7th. The DAZL Elven Magic x DAZL Illumination litter is ready to go to their new homes. We do have two Fawn Rex females available that we are willing to hold and pair with a different colored female from Gimble's litter. If you are interested, feel free to send in an application. Website Updates I came to the realization recently that I accidentally deleted my original front page of the website! The Vote for Obama page has been up for a super long time because of this problem. I have now put up a more proper front page. It's not the same as my last one but it will do for now. We are still(!) making updates throughout the site as time allows. We will be updating all the Boys & Girls pages once we finish taking updated photos of everyone. Incoming We will be welcoming two new additions in the coming weeks. BVR Sea of the Edge is a Russian Blue Agouti Satin buck and BVR Sea of Tranquility is a Russian Cinnamon Satin-Rex doe. After we watch them mature we hope to be able to use these two to split off part of our Russian Cinnamon/Fawn line and be able to concentrate on more proper coloration for the Russian Cinnamons while also bringing in new blood. December 6, 2008 - Website Updates I've finally fixed some of the issues I had with the layout of the site. I will slowly be working over each page so that everything is up-to-date and properly displayed. I will also be implementing the FastTrak on each of the rat's pages, and updating the notations in past litters. Litter Update DAZL Elven Magic x DAZL Illumination celebrated the birth of their litter on November 5th. This litter has been an absolute joy to raise as they are super sweet pups. I am noticing some very important improvements and am very pleased. I will force myself to choose my keepers by the end of the week :) We have several litters planned through the first months of 2009. We still have a lengthy waiting list so please be patient with availability. Happy Birthday! A big Happy Birthday shout out to the following rats who have turned 2yrs old recently.
